Fancy Plants Farmstead is made up of two sister-in-laws, Leslie Cash and Sarah Shuman. We specialize in fresh cut flowers and herbs. Several years ago the family jokingly called Sarah “fancy plants” because of the meticulous way she grows food and starts her seeds. Soon after, Fancy Plants Farmstead was born. In addition to Piedmont Fresh, you can find us weekly at the Lexington Farmers Market. We have been gardening together and growing in our knowledge for many years and want to share with you!

We love to grow food and flowers and we believe in the importance of keeping your food and flower sources local. Growing flowers and herbs naturally in a way that benefits the soil is important to us. We love to share with others how to source local food and flowers plus teach others how they can also grow their own food. The garden is a place of peace and refuge for both of us, you will often find us lost out in the garden planning our next garden plot.
